During this year’s ALTER 2023 international conference edition, our team shared key insights from the Pedal research project. Our presentation, titled “Pathways of Young People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities to Adulthood: Experiences, Facilitators, and Barriers from Different Positions”, delved into the essential aspects of the transition of young people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
We discussed the experiences of these young individuals, factors that can facilitate this transition, and potential barriers that may arise. Our aim was not only to introduce the interim results of our research but also to provide a platform for discussion and exchange of experiences with other experts in the field.
